New Skin!
THE MESSENGER - Graves has been hard at work on a new forum skin which has been released today! We've made the layout a little simpler to navigate, updated the site writeup, rearranged the census and added a Quick Links scrolly box for convenient access to important things.
TAG BOX - Of note is the new Tag Box! No longer will you need to tag a user+character, you can now add a link using the "link" button and @tag the character account you're RPing with. The Tag Box is part of the site, so you'll automatically post using the account you're currently signed into.
Activity Update:
The second round of removing inactive accounts will be taking place over the next day or so. As always, 1-on-1 threads with the deleted accounts will be archived and group threads may proceed without them.
A reminder that we have an Absences subforum if you become busy or need to take a break from the site! Please keep us updated if you're able to so we don't delete your account, or at least drop a note in chat.

New Site Event has begun!

Inactive members have been removed, S.U.C.C. has been disbanded.
Dedicated solicitation/recruitment in cbox is no longer allowed.
This refers to practices such as heavily pressing users to pledge alliance to an organization.
Discussion is still allowed and encouraged! Keep on talking about and developing your organizations in chat. Basically just don't jump on unsuspecting children.
Recruitment advertisements may be created in the Wanted Ads subforum and you may post these threads in the Tagbox once a day (roughly every 24 hours).
Guidelines have been updated to reflect this change.
STAR★SIGNS staff will be operating at 50% capacity for the next few days.
Graves will be taking a break, so most coding and lore-related things will be placed on hold. If you see them online it's probably because they're itchy. However they will still keep up with RP posts!
Dimas and Finley will still be available to accept new characters and answer pressing questions!

MEMBER DIRECTORY - A list of all current players and their accepted characters. Post here if you have created a new character!
STAFF PING - If you need to bring something to staff attention, post in here so we can get to you asap.
ABSENCES - If you need to take an absence from the site, please post in here to let us know so we don't delete you.
A further note on activity and absences: Please try to maintain a certain level of activity as the staff will remove users that have been inactive for 2 weeks or more. We understand having a busy schedule as we have them too, but please try to keep up with your threads and plots!
Additionally but also very importantly, please be informed that if you are a leader of an organization and you become inactive without reason, your organization will need to be disbanded. Guidelines have also been updated.
STAR★SIGNS staff updates:
Dimas will be away from the site for several days due to needing to send their computer for repairs.
Finley will be overseas for 10 days starting July 10th and should return by the 21st.
Graves is back and will be available if any assistance is required! Go wild, kids.

You may have noticed the presence of a new account on the site, aptly named The Government . This event will have different consequences for characters in all groups, including the Unaffiliated ones, so be wary and stay on your toes!
Site Guidelines update:
THREAD CAP - We're introducing a thread cap of 3 threads per character for the time being based on the current posting levels to try and promote activity across characters. This will definitely change depending on how the site grows so don't worry about it too much.
BBCODE - We're also adding a new guideline regarding a need for some familiarity with basic BBCode - STAR★SIGNS depends heavily on BBCode to maintain a cohesive overall look, so we feel it's only fair to let people know we'll be needing them to use it here (such as in our application form, etc). Basically this is just so applicants don't delete all the newclass in our app.
Regarding activity:
As mentioned in the previous update, we are beginning to remove inactive accounts from the site to keep our active member count accurate. 1-on-1 threads with the deleted accounts will be archived and group threads may proceed without them.
Inactive organizations will also be disbanded - as such, S.U.C.C. will be disbanded. Characters that are members of inactive organizations will be moved to the Unaffiliated group, but you are free to become members of other organizations. Please post in Staff Ping to let us know if you do!
We are allowing the remaining participants of group threads to skip a participant if they have not posted for a while or have become inactive. The staff recommends no earlier than 4-5 days since the last post but the final decision is up to the discretion of the active participants.
