The heart of the city: a sea of skyscrapers, glittering glass and metal. The government itself is located in a central building here, as are some of the most influential businesses that call Hyperion home. Home to the Crux Park, the largest park in the city and its most tidy.

District Two sets itself apart as the most welcoming of the districts. Every street is kept clean, and every path is lined with flowering flora. Shopping is the main draw for outsiders, but law firms, consulting agencies, and similar businesses can also be found here, sometimes squeezed between art galleries and craftsmen shops.

The original residential district when Hyperion was only just beginning to bud, District Three is host to several small parks and playgrounds, making it popular amongst younger families. Young adults are a common sight here, and a coffee shop sits on the corner of every block.

With a population mostly consisting of the younger generation, this district is surprisingly quiet during the day. When the sun goes down, however, the night comes alive with the sounds of revelry. Bars and clubs, as well as arcades and general entertainment buildings, are common here.

In District Five the land begins to rise and the land is less populated compared to the central districts. Here, nature and civilization are balanced, temples and shrines hidden amongst groves of trees. The city's university sits on open acres of land, and some of the more prestigious schools sprawl alongside a sluggish river.

A hard-working district located on the Musica Bay, District Six is always bustling with activity. The people here are rough but kind, and the scent of sea salt is heavy in the air. The docks are constantly loading and unloading cargo onto visiting ships.

District Seven

If District Six is rough but hardworking, then Seven must be called opulent and playful. District Seven processes high-quality goods requiring careful storage and has guards who protect the warehouses at night. An amusement park named Cosmo World is located on the bay, and food stalls line the boardwalk that leads to it.

Western Hyperion

District Eight

Due to its proximity to the ruined districts, District Eight has a reputation for being rough. This has fostered a sense of community amongst the people who live here, and they are wary of outsiders.

Most of District Twelve has been flattened, and the government is in the middle of reconstructing it. Across the water, on the far side of the bay, is where the city's trash heap is located. People dump anything and everything here, including bodies.

Southern Hyperion

District Nine

Made up almost entirely of houses and apartment complexes, District Nine hosts the majority of the city's population. Smaller shops and businesses can be found here, and a marketplace is set up in one of the empty fields every Sunday.

With little financial support, District Ten fell into destitution following the wars of the past and has never managed to return from that poverty. Considered by many to be the slums, this district is best avoided unless one has good cause to be here.

District Eleven

One of the districts ravaged by the previous wars, District Eleven is home only to those Gifted who wish to live outside of the government's influence. The buildings are in disrepair, and the only work to be found is likely illegal.

This district continuously burns and is surrounded by a wall to contain the never-stopping flames. Normal people are unlikely to approach it, as it is considered a cursed land, but the flames are easy to avoid if you are brave.
