[attr="class","appcat3"]Like stone, Mathieu stands firm, able to weather the tumultuous winds of human emotion. While most go about their day, happy and carefree, he takes his work seriously. It's only natural he has a personal life to contrast, but neither ever cross into the other so long as he can help it. Diligence runs through his veins like a river, leaving him capable of taking on more than one objective at a time. Though it's best someone manages to level him, as he will often overexhaust himself with complete disregard to his own well being. Mathieu is, perhaps too dedicated to completing his tasks. While dedicated, it's not uncommon to witness him rush things, as he'd much rather finish things in one shot than drag them out. This often leaves him with a blunt way of speaking, but hopefully someone out there can appreciate his candor.

Despite his diligence, he isn't what most would call a team player. Independence is a strong trait that resonates within him, and because of this, he has a very taciturn disposition. But despite the distant air he exudes, he's quite impersonal when push comes to shove. While not exactly an extroverted, tells-all-of-his-secrets kind of guy, he's capable of holding even a sliver of conversation. He just prefers to conserve his words for more crucial matters. What most can consider meticulous planning from him is merely ruthlessness disguised by the tint of rose-coloured glasses. That nature is matched only by a Machiavellian approach to others. He cares not for others, but only for himself and how he may benefit. After all, if you're going to play the game of life, you should play as though you wish to come out on top.

Although he has plenty to gain dabbling into the world of politics, he couldn't care less how that goes. A bit of an anarchist, people in power are just potential customers or targets in his eyes. How they rule or what they do is something he remains impartial of, it's what others pay him to keep them alive or make sure they're dead that matters in the end.

While a bartender with a skill in mixing drinks, he isn't necessarily the biggest fan of alcohol. If anything, he prefers a nice cup of coffee with caramel infusion. The only thing better than that is if said coffee happened to be served with fresh biscotti. He appreciates simplicity in any and all forms, but he doesn't allow this to stray him from the finer things every now and again. Mathieu holds high appreciation for the arts, and it remains no surprise that he has various professional photographs or paintings that hang around his abode to give it that sort of je ne sais quoi in interior design that really resonates with people who may or may not visit.

Peace is found in silence, and the best place to find it is often at home. His living space remains neat and tidy, as Mathieu hates messes. He's never been one for opera music, as he finds it to be rather loud and far too posh. If anything, he prefers simple genres such as smooth jazz, relaxing acoustics, or soothing instrumentals. High volumes don't often sit well with him, nor does country/bluegrass music & all of its subgenres. As far as cuisine goes, he's not too terribly a picky eater, however he doesn't care for mushrooms, olives of any kind, or squid. Otherwise though, he's open to try new things.

Despite his cleanliness, he absolutely hates doing the dishes. To combat this, nearly everything in his household can be made in the microwave, is canned/bottled, and/or doesn't need silverware or a plate. For occasions where he does need such, he simply purchases paper plates & plastic silverware so he can throw them away once he's done. Other than that though, there aren't too many odd habits he has. If anything, he can often be seen walking around in private merely in his boxers. After all, home is where the clothes are not.

In his free time, he enjoys a multitude of physical activities, such as rock climbing, hiking, biking, & so much more. However he doesn't do anything swimming/fishing/boating wise, as he fears open waters due to his inability to swim.


His job as a bartender is but a cover up, needless to say. He has a talent with mixing drinks, but certain customers come in to purchase something else from him. As a drifter, he takes any and all requests, not particular to any allegiance but the one that can show him the most money. Mathieu remains most familiar with sniping, and prides himself in never missing his intended target. But shooting isn't all he's good for, as he's familiar with various poisons and their antidotes. Certain things may cost a little extra, but what's the harm in spitting out a few more hundreds to see those causing you trouble in tomorrow's obituatries?

To request his services, customers must inform him that they're there in regards to sampling the Drakkar Noir. People will be met with the question of, "How would you like it?"

A guide to answering would be simple --
On the Rocks : Regular Kill, No Special Requests [Regular price.]
Neat : Private Kill (basically killing the person when they're alone,) with Cleanup, Body Disposed & Personal Belongings on Hand (Such as Cell Phone) Destroyed [Most expensive option, nearly twice the rest.]
Up : Slow Death [Depending on the contractor's prefered methods, the price may range from regular to about 10% more than the standard.]
Virgin : Used to terminate a request. [No charge.]

The contractor has a certain time limit in which to decide, or the request will be off the table. If they use anything other than the four options available, they will be met with the statement that they are currently out of the ingredients to make it. It's nothing personal, it's just business.

[attr="class","appcat3"]WAYFINDER. An ability that grants the gift of mental tracking.

OVERVIEW. Wayfinder is a bit of a strange ability for someone who relies on assault. With this ability, Mathieu is granted the gift of tracking others through something akin to a mental sonar. As he grows closer to the target(s), his ears will begin to ring until the sensating gives one final 'blip' on his mental radar to show that he's found his target. The tricky thing with this is that he requires something the person has touched (such as clothing, a personal item, etc.) However, this belonging must remain untouched by others, to allow the contact to be preserved so he has a more accurate read in his search. Unfortunately, while he's able to track others, it doesn't exactly give him the proper directions to get to them, as that's something that he must figure out on his own. This ability falls passive, in a sense that he doesn't need to concentrate to use it, but otherwise, there's nothing too terribly special about it.
