Leather jackets, fingerless gloves and late nights are a staple for Jason Eastwood; a man awkwardly torn between a childhood he never had and adulthood responsibilities he was forced to burden at an age too early.

He's been around Hyperion long enough that he is a familiar face, yet too short for any to know his personal story. It is why when he's seen leaned on the bar of a club, there are curious glances yet very few attempt to do anything other than stare. He gives off an unapproachable vibe (and he’ll deny the truth that he is SHY). Not everyone gets the hint, however, or maybe they are among the rare few that allow impulse to guide them and curiosity to win. Those that approach will find a STOIC man that appears disinterested at his best and irritated with your presence at his worst. Many mistake him for being apathetic, but they are wrong; he is DEFENSIVE because he feels too much.

Jason knows, however, that he is screwed when BITTER words do not deter someone's persistent company. Kindness is ultimately a weakness to a man who bares his teeth in preparation for a fight. This leopard may not change his spots, but if someone looks closer he is much different than what meets the eye. He holds a steadfast LOYALTY that cannot be broken by anyone besides the person who has earned it. Once you have him on your side, you have gained someone that will stand unwaveringly against any storm. He is not afraid, however, to speak his mind and HONESTY is a trait Jason is praised for. It is rare that he will ever lie, so he becomes a RELIABLE shoulder to lean on when seeking advice from someone who would not sugar coat the truth. It helps that he is a PERFECTIONIST and never shows up late to a scheduled meeting. He weighs his responsibilities above all else, yet it is a double-edged sword for his own health comes second. His perfectionism causes a glaring issue in the form of his LOW SELF-ESTEEM.

But he still knows how to have fun. Once around his rough exterior, Jason grows attached to others very quickly. He may not show it at first, yet eventually, there is no denying it. Insults become PLAYFUL banter and he loves others that bring out his COMPETITIVE side. He'll tell you how much of an idiot you were for a mistake you made, but he will also drop everything he is doing to buy your favorite food and listen to you for hours. So with those he cares for, Jason is undeniably AFFECTIONATE. Just don't break this trust because chances are, he won't let you back in. He's STUBBORN (especially when hurt).

OVERVIEW. Jason has never been fond of touching others and it is for good reason. His ability itself tends to remain a mystery, and he dodges questions that involve it for it has been a double-edged sword since the beginning. It is by touch that the Eastwood youth is able to feel the blind emotion of other individuals. Although this only works with those that express themselves openly, people who guard their emotions mentally will be closed off to Jason's connection. Jason, himself, is one such person who keeps his emotions guarded. It isn't—and for a long time, wasn't—always this way, however. If his control slips, his ability acts akin to a connection between himself and the individual he is touching. He can feel their emotions, and they can feel his.

Of course, the stronger the emotion, the likelihood of it affecting Jason personally raises a substantial amount. For example, a few years back, he was involved in an underground fighting ring and his ability flowed without control for it allowed him to be further into the zone as he stepped into his opponent's shoes, fueling his concentration. This, however, can lead to his mood swinging often and it is likely that he comes across as unpredictable or bitter in sensitive times when he wishes to keep away from others. The more his ability is used, the harder it is for Jason to keep himself closed off to others as well. In the end, it is draining to have someone else's thoughts within his own mind, too, so often times Jason remains introvert and needs to recharge alone. On occasion, he suffers from migraines linked to his ability if it is overstimulated. There is no off switch, but fortunately, it only affects other humans and not all life.
