He prefers to keep his head down in most everything and in fact lacks confidence in his ability to endure the spotlight. That's why he settled into a position as a secretary when his high achievement in academics could have at least gotten him a foot in the door for a better gig. He's just not sure if he really wants to climb.It might be confusing, then, to recognize the Messiah Complex that has driven him into the arms of villainy. He views his power as pure creation himself. In his mind, he is the seed that must be planted to regenerate the world once the present order has been burned away, and the present order must be burned away; too many of the wrong people have too much of the power, he feels, and the chaos they inspire is unsustainable. So yes, he's a humble man with dreams of destroying the world before saving it. That's the hat he wears. But, in the day to day, he's generally amicable, a sight flirtatious, and dreadfully afraid of making others uncomfortable with his presence. He has to put a lot of willpower into not thinking too hard about the myriad questions and contradictions that make life what it is, but he's always overjoyed to meet someone who can meet him in his headspace. |
[attr="class","appcatsub3"]POWER [attr="class","appcat3"]GENESIS. The ability to produce organic substances and lifeforms from the body.OVERVIEW. Achille can asexually reproduce any lifeform--or its products--so long as he has consumed a raw piece of that lifeform before. As a necessary side-effect, he is immune to naturally-occurring poisons and intoxicants. His power makes of him a source of life. Plants, birds, fish, insects, and more: if he's eaten it, he can reproduce it. He can clone himself and others via use of this power, but since Gifts come from the stars, clones do not retain the power(s) of the original. Organic material that separates from him degrades after roughly one hour of independence. He can maintain new forms for longer by keeping them attached to himself via an "umbilical cord" of sorts. Products attached in this manner can be nourished and modified by his power on an intuitive basis, but naturally, they can only go so far (ten meters out) before they must either separate or reintegrate. In addition, he can only sustain three organisms in this manner at a time, and fewer than that if said organisms are larger than he is. Keeping them alive is far from a stress-free process. A few hours in, and his own health will begin to fail. Achille is able to mix and match features to create chimera creatures, but for the resulting organism/substance to be viable, complementary modifications must be made. As an example, if he wanted to make a "griffin" that could actually fly, the lion body would need to be smaller than normal, with less muscle and thinner bones. While the organic matter he creates comes directly from his body, Achille cannot modify his body directly. He cannot regenerate damage done to his body, and if he had the wild idea to generate a new body altogether, his powers would not transfer to it naturally. He'd have a ready source for proper organ/limb transplants, though! |
