It has been nine months since the Death Eaters made their way into the Ministry. Nine months since they killed the former Minister, and took over Great Britain's wizarding community. Nine months of silence, of wondering what was next, but now the wondering is over. The Death Eaters' plans for the countries was made clear. A registration was put into place, with Hogwarts on lockdown, and the threat was clear. Register, or the students in the castle would remain there indefinitely.
Some ran, most registered, and when they did, their wands were taken from them. They were assigned housing, assigned jobs, and taken away from their families. The ones that ran have to live like before, on the run wondering when a snatcher or an auror would find them. Hogwarts students were let out of the castle, coming home to, in most cases, an entirely different world.
But this world is the new normal, and while the Order is reforming, while a sanctuary has been built in France to try to keep Muggleborns safe and protected, as of this point, no one has been able to stop the Death Eaters.
