It just takes some ambition, connections and lack of scruples and viola, you have a business. Nostra deals with that information. It provides, retrieves and even protects information from and for clients. It has a stringent web spread all across Hyperion with its members constantly funneling information directly back to Nostra.

Nostra does not discriminate its clients. Those that want to reach the company can use one of the various dead drops scattered all across Hyperion or, if there happens to be a connection, address a member directly. As long as you can provide payment, that being either financial compensation or crucial information Nostra might deem useful, clients can discreetly request just about any kind of information they desire. Whether that be information on what their spouse is doing when they work late, some dirt on a high-standing political opponent or even exposing criminals. Nostra has worked as informants for policemen, criminals, terrorists, government and even the average joe.

The methods Nostra uses to acquire information are plentiful and an absolute trade secret. Members follow a code of absolute discretion. They never reveal themselves or their sources. They don't ask about why a client requires information. The company follows the principle of complete neutrality. They don't meddle in affairs that they don't have anything to do with, unless the objective is protecting a vital source of information. Because despite taking a backseat and rarely using force to obtain knowledge, the information business is extremely dangerous and members of Nostra need to know how to pick a punch and fend for themselves should things go south during operations.

• Chairman: The head of Nostra. Calls the shots. Knows all the things.
  
• Advisor: The chairman's right hand wo/man. Not part of the hierarchy and enjoys special privileges.
  
• Director: The chairman's stand in. Enjoys as much authority as him.
  
• District Managers: They manage the different districts with relative autonomy.
  
• Staff: Basic staff. They do deliveries, run the dead drops, communicate with clients and network with Nostra's members.
  
• Associates: People that work for Nostra part-time but aren't familiar with its inner workings, members, or hierarchy.
