Combined with a deeply analytical mind and a desire to unravel the most knotted of mysteries, he has proven to be an incredibly popular psychiatrist; his solutions are elegant, his prescriptions on point, and many of his clients find themselves looking forward to their scheduled checkups and his assured company.And yet, in the comfort of his own home, his vices and vanities strip away the mask and cast it off with derision. Pessimism forms the ground upon which his words tread, and it is only his ever-ready smile that keeps outright self-deprecation at bay – after all, no one appreciates a dark, gloomy man. He is also exceedingly materialistic, reveling in the simple pleasures of a deep pocketbook and an apartment draped in useless objects, whose only purposes are to satisfy his desire for clutter. He is prone to strange whimsies and finds tangible satisfaction in pursuing the most token of fantasies. Perhaps, beneath this eccentric mix of glitter and grime, the truest, kindest part of him simply seeks to assist lost souls. Return Point functions in much the same way reloading a previous save on a game does. Its manifestation is two-fold: first, he must have an existing "save" to revert back to. He normally rewrites this "save" every night before he goes to sleep, so if he does use his power he doesn't return to a state significantly younger than his present self. Secondly, he must be conscious to activate it. For this reason, sneak attacks and attacks aimed to disable are extremely effective against him. He is incapable of returning from a true death and cannot activate it while mentally incapacitated. While he can save at any time, he is only able to "revert" to a previous save once every twenty-four hours. |
